Please stop in and see us with any questions or concerns or you can schedule an appointment with Mrs. Boros through this link by Calendly!
Mrs. Boros works with students to develop a four-year plan that meets their educational goals and personal development and assist students in making informed choices based on career interests and individual interests and abilities. Over the course of junior high and high school, we will complete numerous career-interest activities, explore the cost of college, learn about different career and educational paths including military, trades, and college!
Some of the tools students will explore are the O*NET Interest Profiler, Appily (formerly Cappex), Career Clusters, 16 Personalities, and so much more! Students who wish to complete additional career inventories are welcome to ask for additional assistance with career exploration. In addition, students are also introduced to a career exploration website that provides multiple search options to further explore career path information such as necessary education, anticipated industry growth, salary expectations, and educational programs to help students reach their career goals. We encourage you to explore at My Next Move
The scope of personal counseling encompasses all areas of the student's life including family, friends, teachers and coursework issues. It is our desire that students have the opportunity to achieve their full potential in all areas. However, the goals often addressed within individual/personal counseling cannot always be achieved within the scope of a school counselor and outside referrals are available. Collaboration with outside agencies is available to assist those in need of in-depth or specialized services.
