It is our goal to create the safest experience for the students as they are dropped off and picked up each day. Our students will be dropped off on the sidewalk, as it is required they gather inside the building in the morning.
This visual demonstration illustrates the flow of traffic into the NCCE/MS parking lot and through the orange cone drop-off area. In the morning, please be patient and follow the cones as you drive into the parking lot off of Berberovich Drive. Drive straight toward the Parish Office. When you get to the last walkway (5th walkway), turn left, keeping the walkway to the right of your vehicle. Your student can exit onto the walkway to the right or you can continue toward the school, turn left and drop them off in front of the school building.
Please continue to move forward until you get to walkway number two, by the last traffic cone. This will allow for more vehicles to line up behind you to let their students out. Encourage your students to exit the vehicle on the right, so that they are closest to the sidewalk. Please do not pass cars that are dropping off students, as some of them might have to exit their car on the left and then walk around to make it to the sidewalk. This drop off applies to all of the grade levels, Y5 through 8th grade.
*If your family has 6th, 7th or 8th graders - you may use the Montessori drop off and have your students dropped off along the 5th walkway which will be on your right as you follow the traffic flow on the way out of the parking lot. This will help alleviate some traffic in the main parking lot.
Montessori Preschool parents please use State Street to enter and exit the parking lot. You may not cross the walkways in front of the school to leave. Make a loop and leave by the Parish Office to go back to State Street. Please follow the traffic flow on the diagram.
In the afternoon, please do not park your vehicle in the entrance to the parking lot. This prohibits other cars from proceeding to line up along lanes 3-6.
Adhering to these procedures will promote the safety and efficiency of the morning drop-off and dismissal participation, as well as minimize surrounding street traffic impact.
