It is always the goal of Nouvel to be as customer-service focused as possible. While we are fortunate to have several opportunities for families to access tuition assistance and scholarships, we have been hard at work to streamline this process. Not only with the goal of making it more secure and more effective, but also to collaborate better with our partners at the Catholic Community Foundation of Mid-Michigan (CCFMM). and allowing families more time to apply for these tuition assistance opportunities.
Families that would like to apply for both CCFMM scholarships and Nouvel tuition assistance can apply as early as November 6th, 2023.
CCFMM applications will be available through January 5, 2024.
Current Nouvel families can apply at any time but should have their application completed by March 1, 2024, in order to receive award notification on or before the week of April 15, 2024.
New families should have an application on file before completing a FACTS application.
To apply for any tuition assistance, scholarship or family discounts, you will need to complete an online application through FACTS, an independent third-party provider. The safe and secure site can be accessed at https://nouvelcatholic.org/factsapplication.
After an application is submitted through FACTS, the documentation provided will be verified and an income verification notification will be sent to Nouvel's tuition assistance committee. FACTS will conduct the confidential financial analysis to determine a family's financial need and send a confidential report to Nouvel's tuition assistance committee, outlining a families financial situation and need for assistance.
Similar to year's past, Nouvel/FACTS will ask for information from your previous tax return - in this case (for the 2024-25 school year) your 2022 tax return.
Families will be notified of the Nouvel tuition assistance determination from the school's business office. For those that complete the process by March 1, 2024 - they should receive aid/award notification during the week of April 15, 2024.
Awards are based upon the availability of funding and the number of verified applicants. Our ability to offer needs based aid/assistance is made possible by our supporting parishes, generous donors and scholarship programs.
A wide range of families with a variety of circumstances qualify for the program. Many factors are evaluated, including income, assets, unusual expenses and the size of the family.
Families are encouraged to apply as early as possible.
Yes - for new students, application to Nouvel Catholic Central and application for tuition assistance are two separate processes. However, many new families may complete both application processes simultaneously.

No. Every family is required to make a financial investment in their child's education and would need to pay at least the minimum per student cost of tuition, $2,750.

Additionally, you can always call our on-campus FACTS team at (989) 399-2218 or email factsinfo@nouvelcatholic.org.
It is important to us that your personal information is kept as safe and as secure as possible. This was a key factor in selecting a third-party assessment system. FACTS has detailed security standards that are regularly assessed, reviewed and tested for education and efficacy. You can learn more on their data security and compliance online (view link).
